The Proistemi Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Dwayne Hermes, dedicated to fostering leadership and collaboration to create enduring solutions for those in need. 

The name "Proistemi" reflects the spiritual gift of leadership, guiding our mission to empower individuals and communities through purposeful initiatives. Our work extends from south Dallas to Honduras, addressing critical needs and supporting sustainable change. 

One of our key partnerships is with Casa Zulema, where we provide ongoing support and resources to individuals affected by the devastating impact of AIDS. This collaboration reflects our unwavering commitment to alleviating suffering and enhancing lives. 

In 2025, Proistemi Project partnered with Mondiant Initiative to support a virtual internship program for two students who are Rwandan refugees—one focused on law and the other on technology. With more than 122.6 million people globally displaced by war, violence, and persecution, many find themselves in refugee camps for generations. Education becomes a vital path to breaking this cycle. One of the interns comes from the Kiziba refugee camp in Rwanda, and the other from the Kakuma camp in Kenya. This partnership underscores our belief that leadership and education can transform lives and open doors to a brighter future.
